A Smile Uses 43 Facial Muscles.
1.) Make it a habit to surround yourself with other positive people.
It sounds simple, but it’s not. People can be vampires of energy, peace, and joy.
You can keep energy vampires at a safe distance. Your joy irritates them; they will try to pull you down to be miserable, too, because your happiness makes them feel less than they are, lacking and deficient. They are, but they are choosing that. They will use words to hurt you like you are crazy. Are you drunk? You’re not living an authentic life. Get real. This embarrasses you, hoping to steal your peace, but hold firm.
Surrounding yourself with positive and uplifting people elevates you and fills you with hope and optimism. You’re not alone in your journey towards happiness. Positivity attracts positivity, and by embracing this, you can increase your happiness every day. The more positive you are, the higher your energy vibration, and happy, positive people can feel and see it. They will naturally gravitate towards you. Seek out the people who radiate sunshine, and soon, you will be the sunshine.

2.) Make it a habit to look for the surrounding goodness.
When you condition yourself to seek out the good in your environment, you’ll begin to see it in the small things: a sunny day, a butterfly, a bird in flight, a stranger’s smile, or a pleasant conversation with a checkout clerk. This shift in perspective can transform your mindset and bring more joy into your life. It lifts you and makes you feel happier.
3.) Make is a habit to be open to newness.
Our world is a vast, wondrous place, brimming with opportunities to try to learn. We trigger a surge of endorphins when we embrace new experiences, whether trying a new dish, making new friends, or exploring a different book genre. These ‘feel-good’ hormones boost our mood and enrich our lives with new experiences and possibilities.
A smile is a universal language that crosses all barriers of language, Age, And Ethnicity. It is contagious and free!

4.) Make a habit of lifting others up.
Telling someone else that you like their shirt, their hair looks great in that style, they are a great mom, or their smile lights up a room makes you feel good—happy—on both sides.
Uplifting others includes smiling. You’d be surprised how much power a smile can hold. It can change a person’s day. A smile is a universal language that crosses all ages and cultures. It’s contagious in a healthy way, and it’s free. Change someone’s day; use that power.
5.) Make it a habit to not expect perfection.
Not every moment or every day is happy. Everyone has terrible, horrible, no goodness, everything-going-wrong days. But these days, as challenging as they may be, they serve a purpose. They help us fully appreciate the good days. So, breathe and take accountability for this experience. Sometimes, life happens.
Remember, Without bad, we have no good, and nothing, even the worst days, lasts forever. This is a reminder that brighter days are always on the horizon.
That sentence or mantra makes the bad stuff more bearable, and the good stuff feels golden. It makes us stronger and more resilient, and the tough times are just a phase.
